The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness, and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.

About SCWS
The California South Area is divided into 30 geographical districts, as depicted in the Area map, encompassing approximately 1060 Al-Anon and Alateen groups and 1260 meetings; some groups meet multiple times per week.
The purpose of this website is to provide the members of all Southern California Al-Anon Family Groups (AFG) meetings with information pertaining to the Al-Anon / Alateen program in the California South Area.
Area Structure
The California South Area is divided into 30 geographical districts, as depicted in the Area map, encompassing approximately 1060 Al-Anon and Alateen groups and 1260 meetings; some groups meet multiple times per week. California South Area is comprised of the following service arms:
