Click here for the Election Procedures (downloaded 289 times). The job descriptions for the various SCWS elected officers can be viewed by clicking one of the links in the following table to gain a clear picture of duties, expectations and realistic time commitments of each position.
Those voting (GRs – Group Representatives) and those considering running for an officer position (current or former District Representatives, DRs) need to become familiar with the job descriptions.
Using the principles of Knowledge-Based Decision Making (KBDM), all voters will have an opportunity to “get to know” the candidates prior to the Election Assembly. Voters and all members need be aware of a candidate’s qualifications.
These procedures were approved for use on a trial basis by the November 2013 and May 2014 Assemblies. The Elections and Voting Task Force was given the authority to write and implement new procedures in an effort to make the election procedures better and more efficient.

Al-Anon's Suggested Preamble to The Twelve Steps
The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and
friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength,
and hope, in order to solve their common problems. We believe
alcoholism is a family illness, and that changed attitudes
can aid recovery.
Al-Anon is not allied with any sect, denomination, political
entity, organization, or institution; does not engage in any
controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any cause. There
are no dues for membership. Al-Anon is self-supporting through
its own voluntary contributions.
Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics.
We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and
giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding
and encouragement to the alcoholic.
